Phenomenology of "Smart Power": Cratological Aspect

【 摘 要 】

This article describes "smart power" from a phenomenological point of view, which makes possible to identify reasons why the conceptual design of "smart power" in contemporary political science is certainly one-dimensional. The theory of Schmitt's "central domains" is elucidated in order to bring the cratological aspect of "smart power" into the forefront. When examined through Schmittian lenses, "smart power" appears to gain its additional dimension as "power of Smarts".
