【 摘 要 】

Article represents a historical essay on establishment and evolution of Tuvan philology department established in 1964 at Tuvan State University. It names the heads of department over the ages and their contribution to the development of Tuvan philology along with rendering the contemporary problems in Tuvan language studies.
