【 摘 要 】
As early as in the 1980s, many large companies started bringing in former professional sports people as corporate guest speakers to motivate employees and give them the keys to success. This article explains how a high-profile professional coach or athlete will pass on knowledge or knowhow that was proven to be effective in an environment of sports peak performance. First, we shall examine the very nature of this passed-on knowledge/know-how and which techniques make it actionable. Then, we shall investigate the various functions and latent meanings of speeches and workshops given by sports figures, while seeking to understand how such events can legitimize a management model and corporate behavioral standards.
