【 摘 要 】

The main objective of this study is the development of guidelines for a housing product. Its specific aim is to illustrate these guidelines through a case study. The methodology was developed in two stages: exploratory and empiric. Interviews were made using a structured questionnaire for data collection. The study was meant to be applied to a housing development for elderly citizens, a market niche whose needs and wishes are not satisfactorily attended, particularly in regard to assisted living. A data bank containing 34 interviews was the main source of illustration of a whole set of orientations for a housing development.
