【 摘 要 】

Se realizó un estudio aplicando el método descriptivo cualitativo. Se utilizó una muestra representativa del área de salud Cerro, de los ingresos en el domicilio de los pacientes adultos en el año 2000. El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar el impacto social de dichos ingresos y resaltar las ventajas del procedimiento. Para la recogida de información se utilizó la técnica de entrevista dirigida por medio de un cuestionario guía y la técnica de observación. Se encontró que, a pesar de dificultades en los recursos y en algunos casos violación de lineamientos de este proceder, se evidenció un buen impacto en la salud, ya que más del 70 % de los entrevistados consideraron muy buena la calidad del servicio recibido, y a su vez se comprueba que esta vía permite atender al paciente dentro de su propio entorno, evitar molestias económicas a la familia y ahorrar gastos en los servicios hospitalarios. Se recomendó considerar los resultados para elaborar un plan de intervención acción, a fin de mejorar la calidad del procedimiento.
A qualitative descriptive study was performed, which used a representative sample of the home care services for adult patients in the year 2000 in a health care area of Cerro municipality. The objective of the paper was to determine the social impact of such home care services and underline the advantages of this procedure. To collect information, we used the technique of guided interview based on a questionnaire and observation. Despite the shortage of resources and some cases of non-compliance with the guidelines of this procedure, it was observed that home care had a good impact on health status since over 70% of those who were interviewed stated the high quality of the service rendered and it was also confirmed that this kind of service allows taking care of patient within his/her own environment, thus avoiding economic burden for the family and reducing in-hospital service costs. It was recommended to take into account the results to prepare an intervention-action plan aimed at improving the quality of this service.
