【 摘 要 】

An interpretation is proposed of Meursault (A. Camus, The Stranger) fromthe point of view of Eugene Gendlin’s Philosophy of the Implicit, attempting toexplain the character’s inner or experiential dynamics in his unbroken interactionwith his immediate context, the sea and the sun. An explanation is given for thedetainment of the Implicit's time in the instant before the fatal shot that turnedMeursault into a homicide, and the way that fear is metaphorically representedby the context of sand turned red by de sun. The symbolical character of the fourshots post mortem is analyzed, through which Meursault would reveal the greatphilosophical denunciations which Camus made to an apocalyptic epoch, starting with the literary creation where the metaphor agrees with the language of the Implicit.
