Article highlights A Dionex HPLC system integrated with on-line solid phase extraction within an enclosed system for improved detection of retinol, lutein and β-carotene in several food matrices. Sample processing verification via standard addition technique into selected food products. Superiority of the proposed method in comparison to other available techniques and recommendation for future applications.
