【 摘 要 】
Turkeyislocatedinoneofthemajorearthquakezone,hasbeenexposedtomany earthquakes from past to present.Earthquakes have caused big damage in buildings and numerousdeaths in Turkey.The increase in theexistingbuilding stockday byday and theagingofthebuildings risetheriskofdamageoccuringduringanearthquake.However,earthquakeriskassessmentofallstructuresisdifficultintermsofbothcost and time. Practical methods are needed to determine structural response to earthquakes and their seismic risks.Street screeningis one of these methods to evaluate theseismic risks ina particular region. In this study, it is aimed to determine the earthquake risks by evaluating withstreetscreeningmethodthestructureslocatedinSivrihisardistrict center, the biggest district of Eskişehir.Streets and alleys with dense building stock in the districthasbeendetermined,170buildingshavebeenexaminedand speculatedaboutearthquake risk. It is determined that the majority of the buildings in the district center aremasonryandmixedstructures,and27%ofthesestructureshaveahighriskof damageinthepossibleearthquake.Inthisregion, which isunderthethreatof earthquake,itisrecommendedtomakemoredetailedinvestigationsinhigh-risk buildings and to decide whether to strengthen or demolish the building.In addition, the importance of enlarging such studies in earthquake zones is emphasized.
