【 摘 要 】

Lacanian materialism, initially related to politics philosophy, has been gradually expanding its limits, reaching now the cultural studies and being an alternative to literary analysis. It is an humanistic thought, which, however, criticizes the limitations of traditional Marxism, adding, yet, the importance of reading literary texts by the concept of the Unconscious, which is structured as a language. The main thinkers of this philosophy are Slavoj Žižek and Alan Badiou and, here, we use mainly the concepts of the first of them to analyze the short story “Amor”, by Clarice Lispector, focusing specially the possibility of connecting the plot of the short story to an encounter with the traumatic Lacanian Real. Therefore, we analyzed the plot and structure of the short story chosen searching for evidences which could be related to the rupture or instability of Symbolic structure and entrance in the Real. We noticed that the very structure of the short story opens the possibility to this interpretation, being constructed in three different parts, which could be related to the Symbolic balance, the instability occasioned by the contact with Real and the necessary restructuring of Symbolic level.
