【 摘 要 】

This paper analyses the feasibility of co-management of El Prat airport betweenthe State and the autonomous community of Catalonia. The startingpoint is constitutional case-law on national parks and ports of special interest.This analysis indicates that one option would be the enactment of aState’s Bill that transfers the competence of management to the autonomouscommunity. Another option may be reform of the State’s airport managementsystem from the current centralized system to a decentralized one, inwhich the central government remains as regulator. Under both options themanagement of El Prat airport could be assumed by a public entity (administrativeassociation) or a private entity (Ltd).
