【 摘 要 】

This thematic section consists of articles that analyzed public security policies and its effects upon society, subjects and their practices. Subject, language, historicity: police and mobilization practices, and ideological formations. Articulation among politics, institutions and security regarding relations of power and strength. Media, science, state, arts, social discourses concerning the functioning of discursive memory that updates processes of criminalization of poverty, spaces and subjects. The production of meanings of fear, danger, (in)security, hope(less)ness etc. Meaningful relations between violence and security. Ideology and production of social control policies. The division of meanings, subjects and society. Segregation and processes of individuation carried out by State. Surveillance technologies.
