The present article presents the systematization (identification, enumeration and discrimination) about the operationalization of the epistemological conceptions of Larry Laudan in the Brazilian Literature of the Teaching of Sciences and Teaching of Physics. To do so, a broad bibliographic review undertaken in eight important Brazilian journals, whose time cut covers the period from 1979 to 2017. Based on the methodological input of Content Analysis, the systematization focused on the objectives of the works, in the focus of operationalization and their results. The findings show that the epistemologist has relevant visibility in the Brazilian literature, but the number of researchers who operate their conceptions reduced. The operationalization of his ideas serves to construct analogies, make counterpoint with other epistemologists, construct reference model for higher level teaching practice and exploration of historical episode. In the research field of learning, through the model of conceptual change, the constructed analogies serve both to establish relations between the spontaneous conceptions of the students and the epistemological concepts of Laudan, and to perfect the model itself. From these findings, Laudan's pragmatic view of science as a problem solving activity contributes substantially to help in understanding the nature of science and the teaching-learning process. Therefore, considering the small number of works that explore this conception, a promising path can be achieved by broadening their contributions, in order to point out the proficuity of their ideas to the Brazilian scientific education community.
