【 摘 要 】
This study had its process in the indigenous community Barrio de San Miguel, town of Uruapan Michoacán state, in Mexico. The research consisted of analyzed, from a gender perspective, operation of forest conservation strategies implemented by women to the detriment of their forest and the deterioration of the living conditions of their families, to mitigate environmental degradation, while adapting to socio-economic and environmental conditions of the community.By this analysis, were studied the main effects of public policies on the conservation of forest resources, on wellness and life choices of rural women, well as the preservation of the forest.The present investigation intended as a contribution to the discussion on the joint gender-conservation of forest resources, by presenting a case study. The complexity of the joint illustrated gender-conservation of forest resources, by analyzing three key points, observed from the theoretical perspective of Gender Environment and Sustainable Development: Access, Use and Conservation of Forest Resources.
