【 摘 要 】

Based on fieldwork on the collective action of Brazilian migrants in Japan, this paper aims at stressing the advantages of a multisited method to capture social relations of sex. The method uses the contextualization of the national and sector-based dimensions as a starting point to link the observation of categorizations of sex with three fields of mobilization: Brazilian schools, workers unions and grassroots organizations. From the theory of intersectionality, the method enables us to analyze how the social relations of sex are realized in each fieldwork.
