【 摘 要 】

The paper describes the problems of differential diagnosis of inflammatory (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease) and functional (irritable bowel syndrome) disease of the intestine. The necessity of such differential diagnosis in certain categories of patients was noted. The possibilities of instrumental and laboratory methods of study are shown. Particular attention is paid to the definition of fecal tests — calprotectin and lactoferrin. An analysis of the studies of their information content has been carried out.
