【 摘 要 】

The present study aims to determine the technical and financial feasibility of processing derived products from passion fruit, through the setting–up of a production and marketing company in the commune “Las Balsas” - Santa Elena city, Guayas province, Ecuador, where the company will be located. This place has a geographical and climatological location that is appropriate for the growing of passion fruit which facilitates obtaining raw materials throughout the year. The social impact of the company is positive since it demands workers for its operation which will be found in the same sector, plus the use of clean technology for environmen-tal conservation, besides the test of a hypothesis that the setting–up of a processing plant of passion fruit will generate social and economic benefits that allows a better standard of life of the inhabitants of this commune and province.
