PERSONAL AND IMMUTABLE CATEGORIES OF THE EDUCATORS’ IDENTITY DEPENDING ON EDUCATION AND CONFESSION

【 摘 要 】

Purpose. The article analyzes the results of a differences study between personal and immutable categories of identity in preschool teachers in two independent groups. These groups differ in the degree of education (incomplete higher and completed higher) and confessional identity (Christianity and Islam).Research methods. A study of the differences between the categories of subjects’ identity was carried out with the help of the included observation and the methodology of M. Koon-Markpatland (in modification). Statistical analysis of the differences – using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-criterion of the Statistica for Windows package 8.Results. Intergroup differences were identified in assessing the characteristics of identity, depending on education and confession.The category of personal identity is higher on a high level of significance among educators who received higher education 5–7 years ago, than among subjects receiving it during the study period.Intergroup differences in the assessment of identity, depending on belonging to confession: the desirability of immutable categories is statistically more denominated in the group of educators who identified themselves as Christians in contrast to teachers who ascribe themselves to the Muslim faith.Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the field of psychological support for the development of the personality of preschool teachers and the forecasting of the professional development of large social groups of educators.
