【 摘 要 】
Plasma (ion) nitriding is one of the widely used advanced surface hardening method applied especially to steels.It has been used for some components were used in the automotive industry, and in cutting tools manufacturing. Plasmanitridinghasbeenparticularyeffectiveinimprovingtheirwearresistancesandlivesbyimprovingsurfacehardnessesofthesecomponentsandtools.Itısknownthathardnessofcuttingtoolsismostimportantparameterinmetalcutting,andfrictioncoefficientiscomingafterthat.Inthispaperitisaimedtoinvestigatetheeffectofdifferentparametersofplasmanitridingsuchasnitridingtemperature,nitridingtimeandgasmixtureratioonfrictioncoefficient.Achoosentypeofanhardmetal(cementedcarbur)toolinsertplasmanitridedatdifferentparameters,andthenfrictioncoefficientsweremeasuredatsameconditionsandresultswereevaluated.
