【 摘 要 】

Dry season livestock breeding strategies in Mindif area, Diamare plain, North Cameroon. Most of the pastoral development projects in Cameroon have failed because hersdmen were not understood, and followed in order to adapt and integrale their production system into the actual economic and agro-ecological context. To start filling the gap and have a better understanding of these systems a study of dry season livestock breeding strategies in Mindif area was undertaken. From this study, it appears that the different livestock productions systems developed and implemented by hersdmen are back up by profund motivations and a realistic economical logic which match with their socio-cultural environment. An evaluation and an analysis of the global situation each year permit to the hersdmen of this area with sharp difference in seasons to exploit the short period of plenty in different locations.
