【 摘 要 】

Examining a garden created in 2000, from scratch in place of a former industrial site in the South of Lyon (France). Leads to reflections on Nature and Biodiversity in town. A criticism of gloom mongering and sensationalism. A description of the paths- half spontaneous, half man-lead- of biodiversity. Questions on the notion of “isolate” and “corridor”. Showing the importance of the apparently modest (but in fact decisive) gardener’s job in order to have a sensible management of biodiversity. Urban biodiversity depends as much on knowledge and skills as on biophysical processes.
