【 摘 要 】

This paper attempts to draw attention to the superfi cial explanations offered in most textbooks on the
transfer of energy from the source to the resistance in a simple DC circuit. We can achieve a more meaningful
description of the transfer if it knows the nature of the electric fi eld associated with a conductor
carrying a current and how the surface charges are distributed on the surface of them.
