This paper analyzes the magazine El Ring (published in 1917) as a source to research the encouragement of the boxing in Santiago de Chile. I reflect on the documentary resourses to the study of the Sport in Chile. To do it, I consider the context, the sponsors, and the contents of its weekly articles.
