【 摘 要 】

For decades researchers have discussed what defines a successful project. Althoughthe evaluation of project performance is important, it is also essential to know what are thenecessary conditions for the development of successful projects in a company. In thissense, the objective of this research is to analyze the associations between the degree ofsuccess obtained in the Foz do Iguaçu hotel projects, and the levels of existence of CriticalSuccess Factors for Project Management (CSFPM). Data collected through a survey witha probabilistic sample of 51 projects revealed significant correlations between the degreeof success of the projects and the level of existence of the CSFPM in the hotels surveyed,with special emphasis on the "Capacity and availability of HR" and "Using LessonsLearned "and" Conduct Formal Presentations of the PMO "as the strongest and moderatecorrelations respectively.
