InBorsecresort,tourismoccupiesaspecialplace,asaneconomicalternative,still remaining viable and a form of exploitation of natural and human potential, with its own history andtraditions,withabottlingindustry,operatingformorethantwocenturiesandwhich practically today offers one of Romanian representative brands of mineral water – Borsec.Thedrawbackoftheresort’stourism,basedexclusivelyontheexploitationofmineral water,isanalyzedinthecontextoftherecoveryopportunitiesthroughdiversificationoftourist facilities,rehabilitationandapplicationofmodernmeansofimagepromotion.Moreover,the Carpathianroadrehabilitationprojectwillalsocontributetothis.Oneofthemostimportant Romanian projects related to transport axes, the future Târgu Mureş-Iaşi-Ungheni highway may already be considered favourable in providing a national and international reputation.
