【 摘 要 】

The article summarizes the most famous novel of the anticommunist after-war literature using ethnic stereotypes characterizing the personages: Jews, French, Italians, Russians, Americans, Germans. These “clichés” are implicitly assigned to the biography of the author of Moldavian origin, son of an orthodox priest, educated from the very beginning of his school attendance at the military school of Chisinau. It is known that C. V. Gheorghiu shows himself stigmatized by the soviet occupation and the spoliation of his native land.
