Characteristics of the Neolithic, Palaeometallic and Early Iron Age Complexes of Berezovogrivsko-Alekseevskoe III Settlement in the Lower Kama Region

【 摘 要 】

The author analyzes the materials of one of the multi-layered settlement sites – Berezovogrivsko-Alekseevskoe III settlement located in the Lower Kama region. Several stages of the settlement’s operation are traced in its materials. The earliest stage belongs to the Late Neolithic. The ceramic complex of the early stage of the settlement’s operation, according to its formal typological features, belongs to the Kamskaya Neolithic culture. Presumably, in the final period of the Neolithic, carriers of the Russky-Azibei type of ceramics lived in the territory of the settlement. In a later period, the settlement territory was inhabited by the carriers of the Novoilyinskaya type of ceramics. In the late Eneolithic, the site of the settlement was populated by the carriers of the Garino culture. The functioning of the site in the Late Bronze Age is associated with the carriers of the Srubnaya, Pozdnyakovo, Lugovoe cultures, as well as the Atabaevo and Maklasheevka stages of the Maklasheevka culture. Presumably, a single fragment of textile ceramics belongs to the final period of the Bronze Age. The end of the Berezovogrivsko-Alekseevsky III settlement functioning should probably be associated with the presence the population of the Ananyino cultural and historical area in the Lower Kama region. Thus, Berezovogrivsko-Alekseevskoe III settlement, probably with some interruptions, functioned during the period from the mid-5th to the 1st Millennia BC.
