【 摘 要 】
This, the third part of a broader research project, analyses two works entitled Rodomontades espagnoles and Emblesmes du Segnor Espagnol, and examines their dissemination from the end of the 16th until the end of the 17th century. The article analyses their appearance in print in relation to numerous other anti-Spanish writings of the same period, and also their literary makeup, with particular attention to the moment, in 1634, when the two works became melded into a common edition after having been printed separately from the beginning of the 17th century. The article highlights on the one hand the mixing of prose compositions with emblematic texts (given that they belong to two very different rhetorical areas), and on the other hand the hybrid nature of the edition: the combination of the two characteristics in these mixed books helped enhance the satirical and grotesque import of both texts and images.
