【 摘 要 】

Burkina Faso is a multiethnic country where more than 60 cultural groups live together. Multiform exchanges have always characterized their cohabitation. One important fact born of these exchanges is the verbal and gestural play of joking relationships — veritable oral jousts made up of insults, threats and crass humour. Joking relationships or parentés à plaisanteries aim to support the solidarity and camaraderie between the different social actors, both the spectators and « protagonists » at any given moment. The author attempts to understand how these joking relationships survive today in Burkina Faso and to learn what new social values are being conveyed through them.
