【 摘 要 】

The author addresses the moral issues connected to the restriction of migration. He responds to the publications of note dealing with migration that have been published in the Czech milieu in the last years (both translations and titles by domestic authors), and that either contain a normative argument or can be explicitly applied to the field of ethical thinking. In the text, a polemic is conducted above all with particularistic collectivism and its defense of various forms of restrictions on migration and the legitimacy of the existence of sovereign states that have the right to close their borders. Working from the position of liberalism, which is associated with the concept of the liberal-democratic state, the author raises objections to this approach. The conclusion of the article is dedicated to an analysis and defense of the benefits that result from the opening of borders.
