【 摘 要 】
Proper nourishment during infancy, childhood, and adolescence is essential to support growth, development, and overall health and well-being. However, there are numerous challenges to achieving this goal in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD), as dysregulation of numerous systems impacts nutrition and growth in this population. The Research Topic “Nutrition and Growth in Children with Chronic Kidney Disease” comprises a collection of five articles that provide an overview of nutrition and growth in the pediatric CKD population. This collection of articles span topics that include the underlying pathophysiology of disordered nutrition and growth, strategies in enteral and parenteral nutrition support, as well as an update on the growth outcomes of children with CKD in the current era.
