【 摘 要 】
The COVID-19 outbreak severely hit the population of Europe in general, and Spain and Italyin particular. By 25th May 2020, both countries accounted for 17.3% of the COVID-19 relateddeaths and 8.5% of infections worldwide (EU, 2020). The severity of the situation at the beginningof March led their respective governments to pass highly restrictive laws that enforced strictconfinement of the vast majority of the population. Within this context, we studied the way adultsin Spain and Italy adapted their reading and media habits.
