【 摘 要 】

The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) was founded withthe support of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) in 1948 as a strategy to develop specificcompetencies and professional identity of hospital administrators to improve the performanceof the rapidly growing and increasing complexity of hospitals throughout the United Statesand Canada (1).Accreditation of graduate programs started in 1968 with the establishment of the AccreditingCommission on Graduate Education for Hospital Administration (ACGEHA), and in 1975was changed to the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration(ACEHSA). In 2004, the organization was renamed to the current Commission on Accreditation ofHealthcare Management Education (CAHME) (2).
