【 摘 要 】
Distal humerus fractures are relatively uncommon injuries, accounting for approximately 2% of all fractures.1 The overall incidence in adults is 5.7 cases per 100,000 per year.1–3 Similar to other extremity fractures, the fracture mechanism of the distal humerus has a bimodal distribution, with the first peak in young patients following high-energy trauma (which is often associated with motor vehicle accidents or sports-related injuries), and the second in osteoporotic elderly patients following low-energy trauma, which often results from a fall. The prevalence of distal humerus fractures in the elderly has been predicted to increase by up to three fold by 2030.
