【 摘 要 】

The title compound, 3-chloro-N'-(2-hydroxy-4-pentadecylbenzylidene)­benzo[b]thiophene-2-carbohydrazide has been synthesized by reaction of 2-hydroxy-4-pentadecylbenzaldehyde with 3-chloro-1-benzo[b]thiophene-2-carboxylic acid hydrazide in the presence of acetic acid in ethanol. The structure of this new compound was confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and mass spectral analysis.
