【 摘 要 】
Blooddisorderscancausemorphologicalchangesinmatureredbloodcellssobyinvestigatingbloodsmearsmorphologically,wecanstudyanddistinguishblooddiseasessuchasanemias.Ontheotherhand,becausemostoftheavailablemethodsaremanual,expensive,time-consuminganddependontheexpertsexpertisesoforimprovingdetectionrateandincreasingitsaccuracy,amethodofautomatedanalysisfortherapidclassificationoflargenumbersofredcellsfromindividualspecimenshasbeendeveloped.Accordingtothismethodwhichisbasedondigitalimageprocessing,severalfeaturesrelatingtoshape,internalcentralpallorconfigurationofredcellsandtheircircularityandelongationhavebeenextractedandwiththehelpofadecisionlogicallthosevarioustypesofredbloodcellswereclassifiedinto12categories.Accordingtotheobtainedresults,diagnosisofblooddisorderssuchasirondeficiencyanemia,theanemiaofchronicdisease,β-thalassemiatrait,sicklecellanemia,hemoglobinCdisease,intravascularhemolysis,hereditaryelliptocytosis,hereditaryspherocytosisandmegaloblasticanemiaduetofolicaciddeficiencycanbepossible.
