Comparison of the Effects of Endotracheal Tube and Laryngeal Mask Airway on Immediate Postoperative Complications in Elective Operations

【 摘 要 】

Objectives:Tocomparethelaryngealandgastro-intestinalcomplicationsofusingETTandLMAafterelectiveorthopedicoperations.MaterialsMethods:Eightypatientswhowerecandidateforelectiveorthopedicoperationandwereinclass1and2ofASA,participatedinthisstudyand.Patientsrandomizedintotwogroups.LaryngealMaskAirway(LMA)wasusedinonegroupandEndoTrachealTube(ETT)intheotherone.Postoperativecomplicationsincludingnausea,vomiting,coughingandsorethroatwereassessedinallpatientsduringthefirst24hoursResults:Casesofnausea,vomitingandsorethroatinLMAgroupwerelessthanETTgroup.However,thisdifferencewasn’tstatisticallysignificant.ButcoughincidenceinETTgroupwassignificantlyfurtherthantheLMAgroup.Conclusion:TherewasnosignificantdifferencebetweentheLMAandETTregardingmentionedcomplicationsinthefirst24hoursafterthesurgery.Ofcoursemoreresearchisrecommendedinthisarea,consideringthelimitationsandcontrastingevidence.
