【 摘 要 】

Abstract:Adenoidhypertrophyisoneofthemostprevalentdisordersinchildhoodthateffectsonmanyofhumanorgans,functionsanddisturbedthem.Thecausesoftheadenoidhypertrophyhavenotbeenclearlyknown,butperhapsfrequentinfection,allergy,rhinitisandchronicsinusitishaveroleforit.Thepurposeofthisstudywasevaluatingtheeffectsofadenoidhypertrophyonocclusionandsomeindexesofthefaceandjaw.Forthispurpose,48children(6-12years)withadenoidhypertrophy(casegroup)andacontrolgroupchosenfromKhorasganFacultyofDentistry,privatedentaloffices,andIsfahanmedicalscienceshospitalsinasimplerandommethod.Then48childrenofthecasegroupwerecomparedwith48childrenofthecontrolgroup.ForstatisticalanalysisweusedSPSSsoftware,Tandchi-squaretests.Theresultsshowedthatchildrenwithadenoidhypertrophyhadmoremouthbreathing,greateroverjetandlesseroverbiteandposteriorcrossbite,anterioropenbite,abnormaldentalclass,andrhinolaliathanthecontrolgroup.
