nbsp;nbsp;Inorganicsolarcells,asdurablephotovoltaicdevicesforharvestingelectricenergyfromsunlight,havereceivedtremendousattentionduetothefearofexhaustingtheearth’senergyresourcesanddamagingthelivingenvironmentduetogreenhousegases.Somerecentdevelopmentsinnanotechnologyhaveopenedupnewavenuesformorerelevantinorganicsolarcellsproducedbynewphotovoltaicconversionconceptsandeffectivesolarenergyharvestingnanostructures.Inthisreview,themultipleexcitongenerationeffectsolarcells,hotcarriersolarcells,onedimensionalmaterialconstructedasymmetricalschottkybarrierarrays,noblenanoparticleinducedplasmonicenhancement,andlighttrappingnanostructuredsemiconductorsolarcellsarehighlighted.nbsp;
