Determination of Species of Diptera Feeding on Carcasses and their Evaluation in Forensic Entomology in Kırıkkale Province

【 摘 要 】

ForensicEntomology,whichisabranchofscienceinwhichinsectsandotherarthropodsareusedinforensiccases,isanewlydevelopingfieldinTurkey,althoughithasbeenusedeffectivelyinEuropeandtheUnitedStatesfornearly50yearsintheinvestigationofviolentcrimes.Studiescarriedoutinthisareacontributetotheestablishmentofliterature,thedevelopmentofscientistsandtheadministrationofjustice.ThisstudymakesananalysisoftheDipteraspeciesandtheirseasonaldistribution,usingrabbitcarcassesleftonthecampusofKırıkkaleUniversitybetweenMay2009andMarch2010.Therabbits,obtainedfromAnkaraRefikSaydamHıfzıssıhhaSerumProductionFarm,werekilledandlefttodecomposeinthestudyarea,andspeciesoftheDipteraorderwereidentifiedamongtheinsectsthatinfestedthecarcasses.AspeciesidentificationwasmadeofthecollectedDipteraeggs,larvae,pupaeandadults,duringwhichitwasfoundthatsomelarvaeoftheDipteraspeciesthatinfestedthecarcasseswerehigherinnumber,beingChrysomyaalbiceps,LuciliasericataandCalliphoravicinaoftheCalliphoridaefamily.Asidefromthese,adultspecimensweredetectedalsoofCalliphoravomitoriaoftheCalliphoridaefamily;Muscidastabulans,MuscadomesticaandOphyrasp.oftheMuscidaefamily;Sarcophagacrassipalpis,WohlfahrtiamagnificaandSarcophagacarnariaoftheSarcophagidaefamily;andmembersoftheTachinidaeHeleomysidae,Anthomyiidae,Piophilidae,Tabanidae,SyriphidaeandStratiomyidaefamilies.
