【 摘 要 】

Cardamom(ElettariacardamomumMaton)isoneofthemostcommonlyusedspicesandisknownas“thequeenofspices”.CardamomoftheZingiberaceaefamilyisoneoftheworld’sveryancientandexpensivespices.ThearomaticseedsofElettariacardamomumMatonareusedintreatmentofvariousdiseases;fromasthmatocardiacdisordersbesidesusingspices.HydrodistilledessentialoilofCardamomwhichobtainedusingaClevenger-typeapparatus,wereanalysedbyGCandGC-MS.RelativepercentageamountsoftheseparatedcompoundswerecalculatedfromFIDchromatograms.n-Alkaneswereusedasreferencepointsinthecalculationofrelativeretentionindices(RRI).Sixtysevencompoundswereidentified,representing96.9%oftheoil.Themajorcomponentswerefoundtobe1,8-cineole(25.6%),linalool(6.3%),α-terpinylacetate(40.7%)
