【 摘 要 】
Theobjectiveofthisstudyistodeterminethepossiblegenotoxiceffectsofthepara-hydroxybenzoicacidesters(Parabens)ofethylparabenandbutylparabenusedaspreservativesubstancesinthefood,cosmeticanddrugindustriesonDrosophilamelanogasterwiththeSomaticMutationandRecombinationTest(SMART).Inourstudy,twodifferentmutantstrainsofD.melanogasterknownasthefruitflywithrecessiveflr3andmwhidentifiergenesinitsgenomewereused.Thetrans-heterozygouslarvaeof72±4hoursobtainedasaresultofthecrossbreedingbetweenthesetwomutantstrainswerefedchronicallywithvariousconcentrations(100,150,200and250mM)ofethylparabenandbutylparaben.Inaddition,experimentalsetupsforcontrolgroupshavebeenpreparedusingethylmethanesulfonate(EMS)anddistilledwater.Wingpreparatesofthefull-grownindividualsdevelopedfromtheselarvaehavebeenpreparedandthesepreparateshavebeenexaminedunderamicroscope.Accordingtothedataobtainedfrommicroscopicanalysis,nosignificantincreasehasbeendeterminedinalltypeclonenumberofethylparabenandbutylparabengroupsincomparisonwiththecontrolgroup.Thishasbeendeterminedtohavenegative(-)orinsignificant(i)effectsonthecontrolgroupstatistically(P>0.05).Asaresultofthedataweobtained,ithasbeenconcludedthatparabensshowtoxiceffects,althoughnogenotoxiceffectsonD.melanogaster.
