【 摘 要 】
Gram-negativebacteriawereisolatedfromtheterritorialseawaterofIskenderunOrganizedIndustrialZoneinIskenderunBay,tomeasuretheirresistancelevelsagainsttoantibioticandheavymetal.SixteenspeciesofbacteriawereidentifiedbyusingVITEKIISystem.Totalof18antibioticsdiscandfourheavymetalswereappliedfortheresistancetest.Antibioticresistancesofallisolateswereathighpercentagesforeritromisine(94.4%),ampicilline(72.7%),streptomycin(68.3%),cefazolin(64.6%)andcarboksipeneme(57.1%).Thehighestresistantstrainwasresistantagainstto17antibiotics,whiletheweakestresistantoftwoisolatesweresensitivetoallantibiotics.MARindexvalueswerefoundtobehigherthan0.2for94.9%ofallisolates.Heavymetalresistancesofallisolateswerefoundtobeinhighpercentagesas100%forcadmium,%100forcopper,90.7%formanganese,and67.7%forlead.Highresistancesofexaminedbacteriaagainsttobothantibioticsandheavymetalsindicatedadenseandmultisourcepollutioninthebay.Thepollutioninterritorialwatersofthebaymaythreattheaquaticlifeconsequently,thepublichealth.
