【 摘 要 】
Inthisstudy,acuttingheadforaportablebrushcutterwasdesignedandforharvestingfourIranianricevarieties,twovarietiesofhighyieldingnamedKhazarandFajrandtwovarietiesfromlocalvarietiesnamedBinamandHashemi.Cuttingheadconsistedofacircularsawbladewith24cmdiameterand2mmthickness.Designedbladehad136teethwith0°rakeangle,30°clearanceangleand6mmpitch.Asimplewindrowingsystemmadefromaluminumsheetwasdesignedandconstructed.Thecuttingheadinstalledonexistentbrushcutterandtestwasconductedinfieldconditions.Foreachtypeofvariety,thecuttingenergyandcriticalbladespeedwascomputed.ResultsindicatedthatcomparedtolocalricevarietiesMaximumpowerconsumptionofabout1.132kWwasobtainedforKhazarvariety.Resultsalsoshowedthatricelossesoftheportablereaperwerelowerthanmanualharvestingandfieldcapacityofmachinewas4.20timesgreaterthanmanualharvesting.
