Inthisstudywerethestomachcontentsof50RainbowtroutwerecaughtbygillnetsintheSeyhanDamLakeduringtheperiodfromMarch-May2007andMarch-May2008.Organisms,obtaineduponanalysingthestomachcontentswerecountedtousingmethodofIRI(IndexofRelativeImportant).Percentagesoffooditemsconsumedbytroutwere,infemales0.10%Fish,6.90%TerrestrialInvertebrates,17%AquaticInvertebrates,26%Microalgaeand50%ofothersincludingstones,wood,scalesandeggwhileinmales0.20%Fish,5.27%TerrestrialInvertebrates,16.92%AquaticInvertebrates,19.90%Others(stone,wood,scaleandegg)and57.71%microalgae.Inaddition,29fooditemsincluding16plantorganisms,and13wereanimalswerefoundinthestomachcontentoftherainbowtrout.
