【 摘 要 】

ThisstudyproposestopresentacomparativeanalysisoftheanatomicalandecologicalcharacteristicsofthreeSalviaL.species(S.argentea,S.aethiopsis,S.viridis)collectedfromvariouslocalitiesofBalıkesirprovince.TheonlyS.viridisisanannual.Anatomicalexaminationwasmadeofcrosssectionsobtainedfromstemsandleaves,inadditiontoexaminingleafsurfacesectionstodeterminestomatype.Allanatomicalsectionsobtainedwerephotographed.WhilethestemanatomiesofallspeciesgenerallyresembledoneanotherwedidnotobservesclerenchymatissueintheS.viridis.Ecologicalinvestigationincludedphysical(texture,pH,lime(CaCO3),totalsalt)andchemical(N,P,K,organicmatter)analysisofsoilsamplestakenfromthevariouslocalities.Ingeneralthestructureofthesoiloverwhichthespecieshadspreadshowedsimilarity.
