【 摘 要 】
Trehalose,anon-reducingdisaccharideisamajorcompatiblesolute,maintainsfluidityofmembranesandprotectsthebiologicalstructureoftheorganismsunderstress.Inthisstudy,trehalose-6-phosphatesynthase(TPS)andtrehalose-6-phosphatephosphatase(TPP)genesencodingfortrehalosebiosynthesiswerePCRamplifiedfromgenomicDNAofEscherichiacoliisolatedfromRohu(Labeorohita)collectedfromlocalfishmarketofCochin,Kerala,India.Theamplifiedgeneswereclonedandnucleotidesequencesweredetermined.Thesequencingresultsshowedthat(TPS)and(TPP)genescontain1,424bpand801bplongORFencoding474and266aminoacidsrespectively.Insilicosequenceanalysisrevealedthatthe(TPS)and(TPP)sequencesofE.coliwereconservedinmanyeubacteria.
