【 摘 要 】

Invitroattachmentweredeterminedonaacrylicresin(Meliodent,HeraeusKulzerGmbHandCo.,Germany)andaCo-Cralloy(CoCr-Modellguß-legierung,DegussaDental,Germany)denture-basematerialsusingthetypestrainoftwotypesC.albicans(ATCC26555andSerotypeBNetherlandCBS5983)andS.mutans(NCTC8177).TheresultsofassaysshowedthattherewasmoreattachmentoftwoC.albicanstoacrylicresinbasematerialthantoCo-Cralloybasematerial,whiletherewasmoreattachmentofS.mutanstoCo-Cralloythantoacrylicresin.AttachmentwaspreventedorreducedconsiderablyinthepresenceofThymusoil.Inspiteofthis,ThymusoilexhibitedthemostpronouncedinhibitoryeffectagainstbothC.albicans,butitdidnotshowinhibitoryeffectagainstS.mutans.Also,wehaveobservedthatthegreaterhydrophobicityofcellsresultinthegreaterattachmenttosomedenture-basematerialsurfaces.Howewer,wehaven’tdeterminedthisrelationshipbetweenhydrophobicityandattachmentinallapplications.Additionally,Thymusoileffectedtheattachmentofmicroorganismsmentionedabove.
