【 摘 要 】

Thestudieswereconductedconsecutivelyfortwoyears,2006and2007formanagementofcottoninsectpeststhrougheco-friendlymeasures.Bio-pesticidesNeemseedextract,Neemoil,Asafoetida(Hing)andTobaccoleafextractwereevaluatedagainstsuckingcomplex.Theexperimentregardingevaluationbotanicalpesticidesshowedthatamongallbio-pesticides,thehighestpercentreductionofthrip(67.65%)wasrecordedinNeemseedextractfollowedbyNeemoil(60.00%),Tobacco(63.59%)andHing(Asafoetida)(52.68%)after96h.ofapplication.Overallmaximummeanreduction(64.69%)wasrecordedinNeemseedextractfollowedbyNeemoil(57.74%),Tobacco(52.91%)andAsafoetida(46.52%).Thehighestreductionofjassid(71.97%)wasrecordedfollowedbyNeemoil(70.06%),Hing(Asafoetida)(68.15%)andTobacco(23.56%)after96h.,ofapplicationofpesticides.Withregardstoreductionpercentofwhiteflyrevealedthatmaximumreduction(60.18%)wasrecordedinHing(Asafoetida)followedbyNeemoil(59.78%),Neemextract(59.38%)andtobacco(40.61%)after96h.,ofsprayapplication.Thebotanicalpesticidesstartedreducingtheirtoxicityafter96h.However,theeffectivereductionofpestswasrecordeduptooneweek.Integratedpestmanagement(IPM)modelwasdevelopedforthecontrolofsuckinginsectpestsofcotton,forbenefitoffarmingcommunitythroughseminars,trainingsandpamphlets.Usingthesafebotanicalpesticidesremainedeffectiveagainstsuckingpestsandisrecommendedagainstcottonpests,whichshowedlesseffectivetonaturalenemiesandenvironmentfriendly.
