【 摘 要 】

LeishmaniasisisamajorpublichealthproblemcausingsignificantmorbidityandmortalityaroundtheworldspeciallyAsia,AfricaandLatinAmerica.Thepresentpreliminaryin-vitrostudyreportsantileishmanialpotentialofRaphanussativusL.var.caudatus.Variousconcentrationsofethanolicextractofplantwereused.Thetestedextractshowednoteworthyinhibition(concentration–dependant)ofLeishmaniapromastigotes.TheIC50ofextractwasfoundtobe39μg/ml.Theresultsofpresentstudycouldbehelpfulinfutureforantileishmanialtherapy.
