【 摘 要 】
Generalandspecificcombiningabilityeffectswerediscriminatedindifferentparentsandoffspringtoisolatethepotentialofgenotypesusedindiallelsystemtoattainthegeneticinheritancepatternascertainwiththenatureofgeneaction.Asix-by-six,hirsutumdiallelexcludingreciprocals,wasanalyzedforgeneralandspecificcombiningabilityestimatesandcomponentsofgeneticvariationtoinvestigatethegeneticretrospectandinheritancepatternofelevenquantitativeandfiberqualitycharacters.HirsutumcultivarsincludedCIM-506,BH-160,NIAB-111,CIM-497,NIAB-999andRH-510.Someofthetraitslikebollnumber,bollweightandsympodiaplant-1didnotrevealthehighestGCAscoringparentforseedcottonyield.TherankingorderforGCAsoftheparentswasnotmaintainedfromF1toF2diallelsetandtherankingorderofthehybridswithrespecttotheirSCAvalueswasalsonotmaintainablefromF1toF2diallelset.Thusthehybridscouldnotmaintaintheirsuperiority(orinferiority)oftheirSCAvalues.
